MEET JAMES
WELCH

I'm James Welch — originally from California, though life has taken me all across the United States. From a young age I've had a deep passion for cars, people, and the stories that connect them. That passion evolved into photography, video, and creative media, eventually pulling everything together into one vision.

After settling in Indiana, I started Welchiani Media alongside my best friend and co-owner, Brian Noel (@bweezy317) — someone I consider a true brother. Brian is the creative force behind most of our rolling and chase-car shots, and his vision for motion photography is as much this brand as mine.

I shoot automotive, weddings, and personal portraits — because great photography is great photography, regardless of the subject. Whether it's a slammed MK5 at a Slammedenuff event in Tennessee or a couple's first dance in Indianapolis, the same eye and the same heart go into every frame.

As an Eventide member and Slammedenuff photographer, I travel regularly to events across Tennessee, Ohio, and the Midwest to document the car culture I love from the inside — not as an outsider with a camera, but as a real part of the community.

When Brian saw James's vision for Welchiani Media, he didn't just support it — he stepped into it. Brian Noel is the co-owner and a core part of the photography team, and if you've been stopped in your tracks by a rolling shot of a car that looks like a movie still, there's a good chance Brian was behind the creative direction making it happen.

Rolling shots are one of the hardest things to get right in automotive photography. The timing, the angle, the relationship with the driver — Brian has a natural eye for all of it.
